Dear Sesha, The involvement of "Help to Breathe" could not have come at a more opportune time. As the COVID-19 wave is sweeping like a tsunami, we need every helping hand to rescue as many patients as possible.
When we observed that the second wave numbers were in line with the projections of our statistician, we started ramping up the infrastructure quickly. The new oxygen plants were commissioned and we planned to order more ventilators and expedite the construction work at two new facilities. Your offer to help to mobilize funds for COVID-19 motivated us to expand as much as possible.
Thus we increased our beds for COVID-19 treatment to more than 1000 including 100 ICU beds.
Thank you for all the support and the peak here in South India is still about two weeks away.
We continue to serve as many patients as possible and every additional help will enable us to care for more patients.
